SAVE FERAL COWS IN NEW MEXICO

The Issue

I was horrified to wake up to news that innocent cows in New Mexico’s Gila National Forest are going to be shot and killed between February 23-26. These animals have been surviving in the forest since the 1970s, and deserve their continued freedom. This is all stemmed from complaints that the cows are overgrazing and “trampling” the grounds -- damaging the integrity of the wilderness and hurting tourism. Let's be real - in regards to the environment, the thousands of cattle ranchers do far more damage to our planet than a large herd of cows simply existing. And as far as visitors to the park go, people just need to keep their distance and respect the cows space and environment, as we would do with any wild animal in a natural setting. Please join me in telling the USDA and NM leaders that this annihilation is NOT ACCEPTABLE and to STOP the slaughter of these animals.

PLEASE sign the petition asap and let these decision makers know this is not ok!
