We have received notice that our beloved nursery at East Ruston Infant School is set to close by September 2025. East Ruston Infant School and Nursery currently has many children who enjoy their education here, and is very important to us all. We are a forest school (with a meadow that the children enjoy) and feel that the small, rural, close-knit feel is what makes our school and nursery special. We have spaces available to children aged 2–4 years old, so we urge anyone who is considering sending their children to nursery to contact East Ruston to show your interest!

This school and nursery has been a much-loved part of our community and played such an important role in our children starting their journey into education. Due to "low numbers", the trust is looking to close down the nursery (for children aged 2–4 years old), in order to save financially. However, with the nursery potentially closing, we also worry that the infant school will soon follow without the nursery feeding into the school.
