Whether you're a casual watcher or SuperFan like me, please consider signing this petition convince E! to keep both Daily Pop and Nightly Pop in the the daily line up.

As for me, let me tell you why I care about this and why you should care about this... 

"One of our top priorities is to solidify E!'s role in entertainment news well into the future, and on that note, we are restructuring the leadership team to better help us achieve that goal... We will be announcing more details in the coming weeks, but our vision for the linear show is to return to the roots of the E! News brand as the gold standard of entertainment news coverage. " This was the explanation given by Tracie Wilson, EVP of E! News at NBCUniversal for why Daily Pop and Nightly Pop are being cancelled.

To me, this is hilarious what are the roots of the E! Network? Since 1991 there has been some form of E! News and Talk Soup. If you've ever watched any minute of these two shows you would be able to tell that Daily Pop= E! News and Nightly Pop= The Soup. 

For those who aren't regulars of these shows you're probably wondering "Why do you care so much?" "It's just a show" "It's just pop culture, it doesn't matter". See that's where you're wrong. 

I have been watching E! since I was 8 (1997) and have seen all the different inceptions of E!. Besides The Soup with Joel McHale, there hasn't been a show I've literally watched every single day. That is until they started Daily Pop and Nightly Pop. Since the last restructuring in 2018 I have watched these two shows every single day. My 3 year old knows that after dinner we are going to watch both shows and have had the phrases "Daily Pop" and "Nightly Pop" in her repertoire since she started talking. The reason I made it through the hard days (like the shutdown) was due to these two shows making me look forward to laughing. It's not just laughing though I have learned so much watching these shows because if you think about it these shows are a way of looking at our current culture either through the lens of laughter or the specific perspectives of their hosts. I CANNOT TELL YOU how many Nina and Justin have imparted knowledge to myself and the rest of their viewership. I'm not gonna lie I'm a white lady from the suburbs, and although it's no one's job to explain things to me Justin, Nina, and Loni have taken the time to teach us about their reality, which I feel like is an absolute service to everyone who watches. 

Going along with this it's obvious that Tracie and the rest of her advisors do not truly understand the draw of Daily Pop and Nightly Pop. It's not necessarily the news it's Justin, it's Nina, it's Hunter, it's Morgan, and it's Loni. I love, and I bet others, love knowing that every day/night one of these wonderfully authentic people will be on my TV. 

Hunter is basically Joel McHale reborn.

Morgan has gone from a party girl who we root for to a full blown mom of two who we root for.

Nina and Justin are those cool lifelong friends you wish you had. 

Loni is that wonderful and funny Aunt that will have your back. 

All of these amazing people deserve this platform. They deserve to shine on our TVs. And these people deserve to work together because I have never seen hosts work so cohesively where they are truly friends who enjoy spending time with each other. 

What gets me is that E! will at some point realize their mistake and be too stubborn or it will be too late to fix it. Because every one of them is talented.

Too be honest, even though I made all those points my main reason is I will miss them. Over the last 5 to 4 years I've really become part of the Pop family... And I really hope this can help them... And even if it can't, I hope they understand how much I and others are behind them.
