Thank you for supporting Don Benito School

Dear Supporters of Don Benito,

Thank you so much for supporting our efforts to keep Don Benito open.  The petition and signatures have been presented to the Board of Education.  Every signature helps to show there is wide community support for keeping schools open.  

Although we've made very good progress, there is still more work to be done.  The Board will soon embark on a District Transformation Process, which will continue exploring school closures/consolidations.  

We will continue to gather signatures and engage our community in support of keeping Don Benito open.  However, at this time, we are closing the online petition to focus our efforts on gathering more signatures from residents living within PUSD boundaries. 

We would encourage you to stay engaged in the process in one of the following ways:

• Attend or watch the next Board of Education meeting on 8/13/26. This meeting will be focused on initiating the District Transformation Process.
• Provide public comment in person or via email
• Email Board of Education members directly
