Deltopia is more than just a party, it’s a UCSB tradition that brings students together, celebrates community, and showcases the unique spirit of Isla Vista. For years, students have gathered to enjoy music, the beach, and each other’s company in an awesome celebration of youth and freedom.

Now, this tradition is under threat. Increased restrictions and enforcement risk erasing an event that, with the right support and safety measures, can be both fun and respectful.

We’re calling on UCSB administration, local officials, and law enforcement to work with students, not against them, to keep Deltopia alive in a safer, more structured way that still honors the energy and legacy of this event.
