The Issue

To Hulu Leadership, Disney Executives, and Onyx Collective Management,

We are writing to demand a reversal of the sudden and deeply disappointing cancellation of Deli Boys. Across its two seasons, this crime-comedy drama didn't just entertain us-it broke ground. Garnering a stellar 98% critical approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, Deli Boys has proven to be a masterpiece of sharp writing, chaotic energy, and profound cultural relevance. Ending it now is an injustice to the creators, the cast, and a fiercely loyal audience.

Unmatched Cultural Representation and Stellar Talent

Created by Abdullah Saeed, Deli Boys stands as a rare and vital beacon of South Asian representation in Hollywood. Centering on Pakistani-American brothers Mir (Asif Ali) and Raj (Saagar Shaikh), alongside the incredible Poorna Jagannathan as Lucky, the show gave us complex, flawed, and deeply human Brown characters who didn't have to carry the heavy burden of being "perfect." It  gave our community a chance to see themselves in a high-stakes, hilarious crime world that was competely unique.

Furthermore, the creative team pulled out all the stops for Season 2. By expanding the universe to include a regular role for comedy veteran Fred Armisen, and bringing in an unbelievable supporting cast including Kumail Nanjiani, Andrew Rannells, Lily Singh, Robin Thede, and Tan France, Hulu signaled to fans that this world was growing. The chemistry was electric, the stakes were elevated, and the world-building was running on all cylinders.

The Season 2 Cliffhanger Must Be Resolved

Leaving Deli Boys cancelled after the Season 2 finale is a massive disservice to the narrative. The season left us on the ultimate cliffhanger: just as the boys and Lucky finally managed to come out on top of their dirty cash problems, they received a game-changing note from "the eldest Dar"-warning that another sibling is coming to claim their share of Baba's empire.

Who is the eldest Dar? What does this mean for DarCo? We deserve answers. Leaving a narrative of this caliber completely unresolved on a cliffhanger is incredibly frustrating for subscribers who invested their time and passion into this universe.

Our Call to Action

We understand that streaming platforms made decisions based on complex metrics. However, critical acclaim, a 98% rating, and ground-breaking cultural representation should mean something. Good buzz and loyal fan bases take time to build, and cutting this show short after a brief binge-release drop denies it the longevity it earned.

We call on Hulu and Onyx Collective to renew Deli Boys for a third and final season to properly close out the Dar brothers' story. Give Abdullah Saeed and this incredible cast the opportunity to finish what they started.

Don't close down the deli. Sign, share, and make your voices heard to Save Deli Boys!
