Debden Campsite has provided a safe space for generations of the young people of Newham to camp, explore Epping Forest, and experience a different kind of environment from their daily urban life. It has presented transformational opportunities for thousands of young residents. It provides respite for people across all the communities of our diverse borough. 

Newham Council have decided to sell it off  and make a short term financial fix for their ailing budget.  
This is something they can only do once. 

We must be clear that the interests of Newham’s youth can’t be abandoned and that council must look elsewhere to fix their budget. The future of Debden Campsite must be guaranteed for the use of the next generation of our young people. It needs recognising, developing and promoting: it needs to be at the heart of Newham’s delivery for youth  

Newham Council must take the sale of Debden campsite off their financial plan.
