Save Craft Brews UK at Pierrepont Farm, Frensham from Closure.

The Issue

Craft Brews UK is under threat of closure.

The farmyard brewery & taproom have received notification of the termination of their lease, effective 16th November 2022, by the Countryside Regeneration Trust, a charity, who were gifted Pierrepont Farm in 2006, where the brewery is located.

The the brewery owner has built up a hugely popular family friendly venue where locals & visitors alike gather & talk. Walkers, local societies & cyclists enjoy the taproom as it is a very popular 'pit stop' on the King Alfred's Way the UK's most popular long distance off road cycle route.

We strongly oppose the closure of Craft Brews UK & request that the CRT look again at their decision, & engage into honest, positive & meaningful negotiations with a view to extending their lease in a way that is amicable to not just both parties but to the local community as a whole.

Note: The closure of local businesses does not align with the Charity's core values:

'At CRT one of our core values is a thriving community in the countryside, that's why we utilise old & disused farming properties into vibrant & the thriving communities supporting sustainable local businesses'.
