My name is John, and I'm the creator of Cowboy Jack - Educational Videos for Kids.  We started the show for our own two kids, wanting them to have something more like the shows we grew up watching (Mr. Rogers and Captain Kangaroo).  When we started, we didn't know where it would lead or if it would take off....but it did!  We currently average about 5 MILLION views a month and over 300,000 watch hours a month!

To get into the YouTube Partner Program (monetized), you have to get 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours.  We achieved that in August 2021 and were excited to see our hobby become self-funded.  It was a lofty goal back then, now we exceed the requirements almost daily.  In less than 20 days of being monetized, YouTube sent us an email stating we were banned permanently from monetization.  Once this happens, they cut off all forms of communication with you and you're on a very lonely island isolated from everything.  They were kind enough to respond once on Twitter and explain that the ban wasn't just on me but my immediate family as well...but without explanation of why.

The show is such a hit and we love it so much we never slowed down...we put out a new episode every week all year long.  It is currently used in an online academy for students on the spectrum, several special needs groups, two childrens' hospitals that I know of, and countless classrooms and homes throughout the US, Canada, UK, and even Australia!  We make custom get-well-soon videos for kiddos facing all sorts of situations.  It brings us unexplainable joy to have a positive impact in bad situations.

All we want is to keep our show alive.  Please sign to support us in getting YouTube's attention and at the bare minimum get a real answer as to why we are banned from monetization in the first place.  Tell our fans why their favorite creator can't thrive on their platform.  Explain to the special needs groups why Cowboy Jack cannot continue.  OR do the right thing and let us back in the program we never understood why we got banned from in the first place.  Sign to support us in this effort.  Even if you don't watch the show, sign to help us bring quality content for kids to the world.
