I graduated in the Class of 2018 and am currently an Ancient History and Art History major at the University of Pennsylvania. Without Latin, I never would have considered becoming an Ancient History major. 

Latin, and Mr. Witte, have had a positive influence on so many people’s lives. Learning about ancient cultures, ancient history, and ancient languages prepares us for modern history, provides a solid foundation of textual sources and philosophy, and allows us to engage with our past. Latin also prepares students for a broad range of careers, such as law, medicine, and history. 

Please show up at the Board Meeting on Monday (6:30 pm) and sign this petition to show support for Latin in Collingswood schools. Latin means so much to me and I would hate to see such an amazing teacher and amazing program being cut from the school district!
