Save Coconut Grove's Fuller Street!

The Issue

The traffic closure of Fuller Street in the heart of Coconut Grove has created a social nexus for the neighborhood and City of Miami at large. Its rows of shady black olive trees and well-maintained benches have proven to be an immensely popular draw for neighbors, county-residents, and tourists alike by exploiting the canopy and walkability of Coconut Grove. At any time of day or night, children can be found playing and biking under the watchful eye of parents gathered to enjoy local food and drinks.

Now, as our city returns to normality, Fuller Street's full potential as a public forum can be realized, but The City have announced that it is to be reopened to traffic. As a narrow one-way street, often blocked by cars struggling to squeeze into cramped parking spaces, its functionality is all but obsolete in light of Commodore Plaza's proximity, where the two-lane road already serves as a thoroughfare cut-through just one block away.

TELL THE CITY THAT WE WANT FULLER ST. USED TO ITS FULL POTENTIAL; THAT WE WANT TO KEEP IT A SAFE RESPITE FROM THE CITY'S EVER-GROWING TRAFFIC PROBLEM. SIGN HERE TO PERMANENTLY MAKE FULLER ST. A PLACE FOR THE PEOPLE!
