Save Coco Palms

Save Coco Palms
The Issue
Dear Coco Palms Supporter,
Coco Palms needs your kokua! Chad Waters and Tyler Greene of Coco Palms Hui, LLC have been diligently working over the past few months to bring Coco Palms back to life. A critical component to this process is being grandfathered under the Iniki Ordinance. As you may know, the County Council may be voting on this bill on Wednesday, December 11, 2013. We intend to meet and share our plans with all of the members of the County Council. We have addressed a variety of questions relating to the proposed site plan, financial viability, affordable housing, bridge, etc. We are continuing to work with the County Council and the Administration to obtain all necessary permits for the rebuilding of Coco Palms. Up to this point, the County Council and the Administration have all been very understanding and considerate of our requests for help on this issue despite legitimate and reasonable concerns on their part about the future of the Coco Palms Hotel.
We encourage everyone to please talk to your friends and family and request that they in turn communicate with the County Council to support our efforts to NOT revoke the ordinance and allow us time to proceed with redevelopment of Coco Palms. Please express these sentiments in your own words, but please do so in a constructive and respectful manner. We believe it would be helpful for them to hear what Coco Palms has meant to you and why you believe the rebuilding is important.
Action Items:
1) Sign this petition on the top right, write your comment to communicate with the County Council in a positive, productive and respectful fashion.
2) Share the word with your friends and family.
3) Follow us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/supportcocopalms
4) Attend the December 11, 2013 meeting to voice or otherwise show your support in person.
Please remember that no matter what any individual County Council member may feel or how they vote, that respecting their opinion is vital to this process. We appreciate your support in restoring the Coco Palms that meant so much to so many people.
Aloha,
Chad & Tyler
