Save Clover Valley - Rocklin City Council Environmental Impact Review Petition

Save Clover Valley - Rocklin City Council Environmental Impact Review Petition
The Issue
The proposed Westridge Skyview project by Lewis Homes threatens to place 78 new homes on the ridge of the Clover Valley watershed—a move that would devastate our local environment by removing 780 mature trees, disrupting rare biological habitats, and erasing irreplaceable historical and cultural resources.
This project would profoundly alter the landscape, directly impacting Rocklin and the surrounding areas of Whitney Oaks, Springfield neighborhoods, as well as nearby Catta Vedera in Lincoln.
Residents of Rocklin as well as surrounding cities in Placer County urge the City Council to ensure the City Planning Department conducts a comprehensive, updated environmental impact study under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and facilitates an open, thorough public review of this project. The CEQA report being used dates back to 2006 and cannot accurately reflect the environmental impacts of this updated project nearly 20 years later.
As residents invested in the preservation of our natural spaces, we seek transparency and accountability. The City must take immediate action to protect Rocklin’s invaluable natural, historical, and cultural heritage for future generations.
