What is happening to Climbing @ K2 Crawley?

Everyone Active has announced its plan to permanently remove the climbing facilities at K2 Leisure Centre in Crawley and replace them with a soft-play area.

Everyone Active has not consulted members of the community at all on the matter, and if their plans go ahead, Climbing @ K2 Crawley will be closed by Tuesday 31st March 2026.

What does this petition call for?

This petition calls on Everyone Active to:

1. Pause the change to this public facility.
2. Conduct a consultation with the community.
3. Publish the business case in the interests of transparency.

Why Save Climbing @ K2?

Climbing at K2 provides children, teenagers, and adults of all ages with:

The climbing area at K2 provides unique offerings that cannot be found anywhere else between London and Brighton, covering all forms of indoor climbing.

In addition, the climbing facilities at K2 are uniquely suited to support a community that spans:

• Skill levels, from beginners to Olympic-style training
• Forms of the sport
• Generations
• Drivers and users of public transport

It would be a terrible loss to local residents if Everyone Active withdraws this facility, and that is why we are asking people to Save Climbing @ K2 Crawley!
