The time has come to face a serious issue that few people are aware of. Every year, billions of male chicks are slaughtered—ground up alive to become animal feed. This happens because they are seen as "economically inefficient" by slaughterhouse industries. Male chicks take more than 40 days to grow, and for the companies, that means a loss. But what right do we have to end the lives of these tiny creatures, only a few hours old, in such a cruel, brutal, and heartless way. In Italy, this practice will become illegal starting from the end of 2026. Unfortunately, though many countries in the EU still legalise slaughtering innocent chicks therefore there needs to be a change. It’s now time for us to act. Let’s save the world one chick at a time…
