Save Chester College of New England

Chester College is at risk of closing their doors forever unless $500,000 - $900,000 can be raised. We need management who cares about the well being of the school and not the money that they can make by selling it. With dedicated professors and students we need a president just as loyal. Faculty and staff have already sacrificed their salaries to keep this going but we need help! Please go to www.chestercollege.edu and press donate, help save our school!!!!  As a small arts college our students are unique and have found a home here.  We have 17 days to do this, please let's make this happen!

donations can be made at www.chestercollege.edu   in the bottom right "donate" section   ------also as a non-profit college any donations will be a tax write off for you. AND if we close down donations will be returned.

Letter to
President Robert Baines, of Chester College of New England
I just signed the following petition addressed to: Save Chester College of New England

It has become evident among the student body that a change must be made. After the news of the state of the school has finally reached the ears of the student body there has been a great uprising and surge towards the continuation of the school. All the students and many members of the faculty and staff have proven their willingness to keep our school alive, but there remains one person in particular who has not been contributing quite as much as he appears. Robert Baines, President of Chester College of New England is an ineffective leader and needs to step down from his position. There are two key elements to the position of college presidency; to promote and sustain growth within the school in the present, and to fundraise and plan for the future of the school. It is the belief of the student body as well as others that Robert Baines has failed to fulfill both of these duties. It is clear from the situation that we are currently facing, that any attempts that may have been made to fundraise have failed, if there were really any effort put into making any at all. The president will not give us a straight answer. It is becoming incredibly obvious that he doesn’t want anything to do with saving this college so it’s time to get someone who truly cares
