Thank you all for your ongoing support - we now have over 600 signatures, which is a strong show of community sentiment to present to the Yarra CEO. I will be sending the CEO our petition this weekend, prior to the council meeting on Tuesday 10th September. There won’t be any further opportunity for community members to speak on the rescission motion or Charlotte Street Park at the council meeting, so it’s crunch time this weekend.

I am asking for your help one last time to get the park approved. How you can help:

1. Speak to your neighbours, friends, colleagues and household members and ask them to sign the petition. Even one to two additional signatures would make a difference,
2. If you haven’t already, add a comment to the petition to outline your connection to Charlotte Street, Richmond and why you support the park. You can do this by going to the petition page and scrolling down to the ‘I’m signing because…’ box to complete.
3. Write a short email to the CEO (Ms Sue Wilkinson) and councillors in support of Charlotte Street Park and against the rescission. a) Councillors: Crs@yarracity.vic.gov.au b) General: info@yarracity.vic.gov.au c) Hand deliver a letter to the CEO at Richmond town hall, 333 Bridge Road, Richmond.
