If they get control again, Chamberlain Park will be destroyed. The costs will almost certainly escalate beyond $30,000,000 and more than 1,000 mature trees will be chopped down.
Albert Eden councilor Cathy Casey (City Vision leader) voted to destroy Chamberlain Park.
Albert Eden councilor Christine Fletcher voted to protect Chamberlain Park commenting that the city can’t afford $30 million..
Both Christine Fletcher and Cathy Casey are standing again
City Vision’s Peter Haynes, Graeme Easte and Margi Watson who voted to destroy Chamberlain Park are standing again.
