A tradition held at this school for years is at risk and could possibly be happening for its last year. Removing this school event from Centaurus would cause school spirit to almost disappear and would be really unfortunate. We want our school admin to know that everybody regardless of gender identity is encouraged to participate in this event and is allowed to join whichever team they like. As a student body we support all students participation regardless of gender identity. Admin has discussed that our cheerleading teams, which are mostly made up of boys, aren't allowed to wear skirts. Admin also scheduled the event over a home volleyball game. This will prevent a handful of people from participating in the powderpuff event and stop our volleyball team from having students at their home game. Changing our date back to thursday the 22nd would allow our volleyball team to participate. We want to be in good relations with our admin and by posting this petition we want our admin to know we support every person regardless of identity.
