I have copied my facebook post with the latest update as without you all signing this petition the ponies would not have had a chance. Please keep sharing we need to keep the figures going up.
Thank you to Elstree and Borehamwood Town Council tonight for accepting my public question which was asking The Town Council to make an application to Hertsmere Borough Council to make the land occupied by Cecil’s Horse Sanctuary an asset of community value. Leader Cllr Richard Butler along with Cllr Dan Ozarow spoke in support and Mayor Cllr Rebecca Challice used her position to agree the request with all councillors in support. An asset of community value is a building or piece of land that is used to further the social wellbeing or interests of the local community. Let’s now hope Hertsmere Council moves quickly with the application to stop the vulnerable ponies and community that love them losing their land.
