Cecil’s Horse Sanctuary is facing closure, Retirement Villages Group are set to purchase the land that the horses have lived on in Elstree from Heineken.   This will leave older and vulnerable ponies that have already been rescued homeless.

 The charity have tried desperately to find an alternative suitable home but no alternative site has bern found.  They have now been served with a document that requires that they leave the field and stables that the  much loved ponies have called home by 31st December 2023.  The mostly likely outcome is that the ponies will need to be euthanised.

 Please sign the petition to try to encourage the Retirement Villages Group part of AXA investments to cease their proposed planning application for a   Retirement home development. This charity is much loved and supported by both local people and those further afield.   It is a haven for ponies that find themselves in need of care in their older years or those that need extra care to meet their needs.   The ponies need our help to save their home.   Please sign and share
