Who could believe more than 37,000 kind hearted folks have signed, shared and contributed in an attempt to save Cecil’s horse sanctuary.
It certainly hasn’t been easy with a great deal of pressure from Retirement Village Group to get this petition removed. It certainly has had leverage. Currently Retirement Village have found the sanctuary 17 acres about 30 minutes from their current home. It won’t be suitable for sanctuary visitors but at least it’s a home and the grazing is good. As I say this is currently the plan on offer and the sanctuary has accepted, again Retirement Village Homes want our petition taken down, again I am saying no, it is clear that without the support of so many of you this offer would never of happened.
I know that all those involved at Cecil’s are sad to be having to leave their current home in Elstree and the many visitors they have got to know. Let’s keep going, keep supporting them and please keep sharing, let’s get to 50k signatures. Once the move is officially settled I will update, until then let’s keep going for the ponies. With almost 5.5k shares we are already beyond our dreams of support. I am still hoping for that miracle that keeps Elstree. Thank you x
