Save Dean Hole C of E Primary School - Preserving Education and the Community

The Issue

We, the friends of Dean Hole C of E Primary School are calling on the Parents, Carers, Grandparents and members of our local community to petition the Local Authority to maintain education in our village.

We understand the Department for Education wants to retain small rural schools therefore we request that Nottinghamshire County Council assist the governors and the community in retaining the school.

Set in beautiful grounds in the village of Caunton, we are a vibrant, friendly and caring school with access to large fields, neighbouring tennis courts and a new outdoor learning facility, all enabling our children to develop their love of learning in a stunning environment. We enjoy strong links with the village, who help our children bring their learning into the real world. Our pupils love to help one another whilst we all work together to make a warm, tight-knit community. Caunton has had a village school for over 200 years and also has strong links with the local church.

The school is not only a school but a hub for the community offering community facilities to the local village.

At our last Ofsted inspection we were rated good, the full report can be found online.

We respectfully request that the authorities reconsider their proposal of closure of Dean Hole C of E Primary School. We believe in the power of education and its ability to shape young minds while fostering a strong sense of community. By preserving this cherished village school, we can ensure a bright future for our children and maintain the unique character of our village.

Together, let us stand united in support of Dean Hole C of E Primary School by signing this petition. Let your voice be heard as we strive to protect our children's education and preserve the essence of our beloved community.

Thank you for your support!
