Cardinal Nation is Mentor High School's online student newspaper, first started in 2022.

This year, Mentor administration announced that they were starting a new journalism course at MHS--we recognize that this is extremely valuable as an educational resource for students like us. However, the beginning of this class also means the end of Cardinal Nation. This means that dozens of student writers will no longer be able to contribute to our school's voice.

We at Cardinal Nation are humbly requesting that MHS continue Cardinal Nation in tandem with the new journalism course, at least providing MHS students with a platform for our right to self-expression and journalistic pursuit.
