My name is Jason, and I am on the Decision Maker team here at Change.org. Our team ensures that petitions like this one are seen by the right decision makers and helps encourage engagement with supporters like you.

I reached out to city officials to inform them about the petition and request a response. They were very helpful in explaining how decisions will be made regarding next year’s Bike Night and how you can have an influence.

Here are two steps you can take:

1. Parks & Rec is where it starts: Bike Night is organized by the Parks & Rec Special Events Division. They collaborate with other groups to create a plan, including event logistics such as parking. You can send feedback (please be respectful) to the Special Events Division at seclerk@capecoral.gov.
2. City Council will vote on the final plan: Once the Parks & Rec Special Events Division and its partners finalize the plan, it will be submitted to the City Council for review and approval. While City Council members typically do not get involved until this final stage, you can reach out to your district council member to share your thoughts on what should be included in the final Bike Night plan.
