Thank you for signing our petition. Now is the time to keep on sharing so that we can really make the council take notice. We've been a silent majority for too long! The plans are ill-conceived. Traffic congestion will worsen, local businesses will be harmed by the loss of nearly 300 parking spaces for many years of construction, a historic park will be spoilt and there are no takers lined up to fill the existing town hall and assembly hall site. Oh, and don't forget the £70m+ cost! But don't just take our word for it. See this week's Courier for further criticism, including a letter from a former council leader.
