Save Brockley Police Station and convert it into a Health Fitness Centre: Write to the local MP at this websitehttp://www.parliament.uk/about/contacting/mp/

The Issue

  1. There are numerous fast food restaurants, betting shops, bars, pubs in Brockley but nothing to take care of peoples health, that operates on a flexible drop in basis.  The nearest fitness centre is not easily for elderly and people with out their own transport to get to
  2. Brockley Police Station is part of the local community and belongs to the local community, not to a transient property developer, this building has been part of the community for generations.  Now that it is no longer being used by the police it should be passed back to the community and used to bring the community closer together
  3. There is so much about health concerns in the news, with issues like increasing statistics of  obesity, more type II diabeties, back pain, stress, examples of modern day health matters linked to our society, we need a gym at this central location, to support the long term well being of the community.
  4. We need a non exclusive social area, in this space,  where the young, the old, primary and secondary schools, mothers, unemployed, teenagers, people of all nationalities  can go to feel better  and look after their physical and mental well being. And a place that is convenient to travel to.
  5. This is a unique location that needs to be preserved for the community, there are so many properties being build in this area, such as behind, in front and to the side of Brockley train station.  However,  the needs of the indigenous working and middle class community are being pushed aside in favour of those advantaged people with capital.
  6. Brockley Police Station, like Lewisham hospital needs to be saved and saved to benefit the community.
