We’re so pleased to let you know that our campaign is now approaching 3,000 signatures, both online and on paper. Every single one of those signatures represents someone who cares deeply about protecting our libraries, and we can’t thank you enough for standing with us. Your support means the world.

But this is just the beginning. Liverpool City Council is currently running its strategy consultation, and this is our chance to make sure our voices are heard. We need as many people as possible to take part and tell the Council just how much Breck Road Community Library and Dovecot Community Library mean to us all.

We know there is a real risk of closure because of the actions the Council has taken, and that’s why your input matters so much. These libraries are far more than buildings filled with books – they are safe, welcoming spaces where children fall in love with reading, older residents find companionship, and families access the resources and support they need. They are true community hubs, and losing them would leave a huge hole in people’s lives.

When you respond to the consultation, please take a moment to share your own story. Tell the Council why these libraries matter to you, to your family, or to your neighborhood. Real, personal voices are powerful – they show that these spaces cannot simply be replaced or forgotten.
