The Blue Mountain Community College administration has alerted 10 full-time faculty that their employment will be terminated at the end of August.

These faculty represent 152 years of service to our community. They are our friends and neighbors. These are good jobs disappearing from our community, and will greatly diminish the college and career opportunities in this community. These cuts will also cost BMCC about 20 part-time faculty, many of whom have taught at the college for a very long time.

We urge the Board of Education of Blue Mountain Community College to reconsider these cuts.
