Auckland Transport (AT) is requiring Birkenhead Transport to change their original cream bus colour to dark blue/grey, which is AT's brand. This makes Birkenhead Transport buses difficult to spot, especially at night. Hard to catch your bus when it looks like all the other buses!

Birkenhead Transport is a locally owned, family-operated company with a long-standing place in our community and heritage. Their buses have had the same easy-to-see colours for more than 80 years. AT is keeping other buses (e.g. Link and Skybus) in their existing colours.  Why not ours?
