The word is out and in St. Johns, a neighborhood in Portland Oregon, that skateboarders have come together with their own money to transform the local bridges cable house from a needle infested pit of filth into a skatepark. 

Now, a thousand bags of concrete later ODOT wants to pull the plug on the project and return the space to anyone with a tent and a habit.

We are asking that you please sign this petition to show how many people would be positively effected by the efforts of a few, and after all it's "Progressive Portland" and they are no stranger to bridge spots.
