Banksy has painted one of his most important works: a judge striking a protestor to silence free speech.

The authorities plan to remove it, citing listed building laws. If they succeed, Britain will lose not only an irreplaceable piece of art, but also silence the very message the work was created to send.

This mural is more than graffiti. It’s cultural heritage, social commentary, and a symbol of Britain’s tradition of open debate.

We call on the UK Government and Historic England to make an exception to listed building rules so this artwork can remain. To erase it would be an act of censorship against free expression.
