Introduction

Animal cruelty has been rampant ever since. People deprive them of their basic needs and abuse them. Even though a community has its laws implemented, some people do not stop from being cruel towards animals. All animal cruelty is a concern because it is wrong to inflict suffering on any living creature.

Problem

Animals in Asia are among the most abused in the world. From bears captured and caged for their 'bile', to dogs and cats slaughtered in horrific ways for their meat, exploitation of animals in Asia is common and widespread. Animal abuse does not only hurt animals; it affects our entire community. Animal abuse has a strong connection to domestic violence. Dogs and cats are often used by abusers as pawns to manipulate and control their victims. Over the years, animals suffer from the abusive hands of people.

Solution

If you know yourself that you do not have the capacity to take care of animals, do not try to adopt or do not abandon them. There are communities who take animals in and it is best to let them take care of the animals. 

If you witness animal abuse, intervene to save the animal and report it.

Just like us, humans, animals are also a living organism. They have lives and feelings and they deserve to live.

By taking action against animal cruelty, we protect animals and may uncover and perhaps prevent additional crimes.
