Our family is concerned for our father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend, Tony Holden, a U.S. citizen who was detained in Kuwait in November 2022. He was arrested on drug charges. Charges that have been placed on him, do not align with his character and who we know him to be and we're fighting for his innocence. Tony has never been involved with any criminal activity and has no criminal record.
Every family's heartache begins when a loved one is far away, and the yearning for their presence grows stronger with each passing day. We understand the deep ache that comes from being separated from someone dear to you. That's why we're launching the 'Bring Our Loved One Home' campaign, with a singular mission: to bring Tony Holden back home where he belong.
Tony Holden is a Memphis, TN native and Atlanta, GA resident working as a U.S. contractor in the Middle East for over 15 years. He is a University of Memphis Alumni and a Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity member. Tony has explicitly worked for a contract company called, Vectrus on Camp Arifan Jan military base.
Tony is mentally, emotionally, and physically exhausted from prison conditions. So much ability to support him is lost in translation between cultures, language, and lack of clear communication from those they are depending on to help. Tony has been away from our family for far too long, and we believe that it's time to change that. This campaign is a heartfelt plea to everyone who knows and love Tony, as well as to those who believe in the power of family bonds, and friendship, to join us in this journey.
The family requests that the U.S. State Department ensures appropriate attention with regular welfare checks and help on his behalf in any way possible as this matter is resolved. It is imperative that the U.S. government immediately address this human rights issue and do whatever is necessary to return Tony home quickly and safely.
