I’ve rescued and have gotten hundreds of cats TNR’d in Bessemer and have rescued close to 70 dogs from these same streets. Most from chains with no shelter or food. There are hundreds more I see throughout the city on thick chains, no food and or water. No adequate shelter and it’s considered the norm. Enough is enough. There is no way one man on a mission to help the voiceless should have to do more than the city animal control. We need stricter laws in place to protect these animals. We need to educate the citizens of Bessemer and we need programs in place for free or low cost spay and neuter. It’s time for the elected people in local office to take this seriously. Proverbs 12:10 says a righteous man takes care of the need of his animals and it’s time for the city if Bessemer to live by this.
