Save Our Babies

Save Our Babies

The Issue

We HAVE to think of a way to save the lives of the babies in our country! I have an approach to reduce the murder of unborn babies, and I need your help to convince lawmakers to make it happen.

As a woman, and a human being, I was moved to tears when I came across a graphic account of how abortions are performed, on another petition on Change.org, by Connie Brauer. I don’t think the trauma will ever leave me, which I felt as I read of younger babies being killed by scalding with saline, while older ones are torn limb from limb, and their heads are squashed. If they emerge alive, the doctor snips their spinal cord, as they scream in pain, and are tossed into a pail. These are live human beings! Why do they deserve to die? And why do they deserve such a cruel death?

Who could not cry, upon seeing the  photo she showed of a baby, post-abortion, who could have easily been healthy, live, and smiling.. but was dead and bloody, with deformed arms. How is this NOT murder?

Frankly, it would be kinder to kill a baby post-birth in a pain-free way instead! (Not that I would ever condone murder!) But everyone knows THAT is murder, and can land the killer in the electric chair. So how is a gruesome, horribly painful, pre-birth/during birth killing OK?

I cannot fathom how the U.S., calling itself a kind and civilized nation, can allow babies to be torn apart, limb by limb, screaming in pain. We are a nation which feels the pain of a freezing dog, a trapped whale, and even a hermit crab or an exploited goldfish - these are all worthy petitions that have appeared on change.org. But we cannot feel the pain of a human baby?

I must assume that most people advocating abortion rights do not understand the pain that the babies feel. To them, the baby is some inhuman, unfeeling, non-alive organism. But this is patently false! Abortion is not only simply murder, but also a very cruel, painful form of murder, which no animal-rights activist would allow a dog or even a fish to be subjected to.

But, having read about poverty-stricken women discovering they’re pregnant, and the intense stress they are under, I really feel for them, too. I know the feeling of poverty. I realize that most mothers do NOT want to kill their children, but have no idea how they’ll feed them and care for them. Then, not realizing the pain and horror of what abortion means, they see it as the only alternative.

I have a two-pronged approach to reduce the murder of unborn children, and I hope you’ll help me convince our lawmakers to help.

One, the government MUST step in to save these babies’ lives. If a financially struggling woman is given emotional coaching AND financial assistance to carry her pregnancy to term, including healthcare, food assistance, and housing and job assistance as necessary, and she knows that when the baby is born, she’ll receive help with formula and supplies, she will feel empowered to bring her child into the world, and care for her.

I know that various programs exist in some locales, but obviously it’s too little, and not offered everywhere- or nobody would be citing financial reasons as their reason for abortion. Financial distress is THE most common reason women give! This is totally unacceptable in our well-to-do nation! Disadvantaged women ALL over the USA need to KNOW that there’s no need to contemplate hurting and killing their child for lack of money, because they will find medical, housing, and food assistance readily available.

If a woman is still going to be unable to care for her child after birth, despite financial help, she should be given prenatal support and then guided towards adoption. There is no need for the baby to be killed!

Two, women contemplating abortion should be required to watch videos showing the babies as they are being killed. It’s only right and fair that she at least knows WHAT she is planning on doing!

Everyone should also be aware that abortion is a very racist and discriminatory procedure, because it was originally legalized out of a desire to control the population of black Americans (check this out)! And most babies who are being killed are from lower-income families (In 2014, 75 percent of abortion patients were living below the federal poverty level), or minority families. (See graph from Guttmacher Institute, 2017).

Just imagine two women, both 30 weeks pregnant. One has waited years to become pregnant and when complications set in ten weeks before she’s due, doctors work with all their might to save and stabilize her child. Anyone who neglects or kills this baby in the ICU, would go to jail, or worse.

While her coworker, also due at the same time, but living in a nearby lower-income neighborhood, and without family support, is abandoned by her alcoholic husband, and then evicted from her apartment, with a young child. Having no one to turn to for help, and receiving no help from the government, she goes to an abortion clinic and arranges for the murder of her baby, believing she’ll be unable to care for him. The baby emerges, minus an arm but still barely alive, and is tossed, screaming helplessly, into a pail of dead babies..but the doctor who killed this baby goes home to his kids at the end of his shift, and is paid for his work.

Why is the second baby’s life worth less than the first one’s life? Why is the second doctor considered by many people to have performed a “kindness”???

If you believe that minority lives, and ALL lives, matter, sign my petition.

If you believe that animal rights matter, sign my petition, because humans are classified as mammals!

But most of all, if you believe that One G-d created us all, and all human life is holy and sacred and has a purpose, sign my petition.
