Petition to Save Painting Wonderland Ceramic and Art Studio in Queen Creek
To: Queen Creek Town Council, Economic Development Department, and Planning & Zoning Committee
We, the undersigned, respectfully petition the Town of Queen Creek to take immediate action to prevent the displacement or destruction of Painting Wonderland Ceramic and Art Studio, a beloved local business that has served our community for the past eight years.
Painting Wonderland is more than just an art studio—it is a place where children find creativity, families bond, and individuals of all ages discover the therapeutic joy of artistic expression. For nearly a decade, this small business has poured heart and soul into making Queen Creek a more vibrant, inclusive, and connected place. From birthday parties and school art programs to workshops for seniors and events that bring our community together, Painting Wonderland has become a cornerstone of our local culture. The studio serves and supports not only our guests, but also local teachers, artisans, businesses, and charities. This invaluable place does everything from hosting local home-school groups and summer camps to just being a place someone can go when life is overwhelming. Painting Wonderland Ceramic and Art studio has been a part of countless core memories of the Valley’s citizens and visitors. Art speaks to people from all walks of life and brings them together. It makes individuals feel seen. Many regular guests say they come to the studio when they need to feel safe and relax.
The Town of Queen Creek frequently champions its support of small, local businesses. Now is the time to honor that commitment. Removing or relocating this studio undercuts not only the economic livelihood of dedicated small business owners, but also strips Queen Creek residents of a valuable creative and communal resource. The people of this valley have always stood up for what’s right and come together to thrive in the toughest of conditions. So let’s not just survive and muddle through the toils of life, but create wonder daily through creativity and community
We understand that development and growth are part of any town’s future—but that growth should not come at the cost of displacing successful, long-standing local businesses that have contributed positively to the fabric of our beloved home .
We call upon the town to:
Reevaluate any plans that would force Painting Wonderland to close or relocate.
Provide meaningful support or alternative options that allow this business to continue operations without disruption.
Recognize Painting Wonderland’s contribution to Queen Creek’s cultural and small business landscape.
Let’s show that Queen Creek truly values the small businesses that give our town its heart.
SAVE PAINTING WONDERLAND. SUPPORT LOCAL. SUPPORT ART. SUPPORT COMMUNITY.
Sincerely,
Annalisa Farrar & Lara Farrar
