Jubilee Court Retirement Living in Stafford has been a beacon of hope and safety for its elderly and vulnerable residents, by offering 24-hour on-site care for years. This service is vital for ensuring their safety, dignity, and overall well-being. However, the proposed removal of this essential service in favour of a call-in carers model has raised serious concerns.
For the residents at Jubilee Court, access to immediate care is not just a convenience—it is a lifeline. Any delay in support, especially during emergencies or overnight, could have severe consequences. Many of our elderly depend on the reassurance that help is just a call away when needed, that a familiar and trusted carer can assist them promptly.
The shift to a call-in model also heightens the risk of safeguarding issues. With no constant oversight, vulnerable residents may become more susceptible to various risks, endangering their physical and emotional safety. A building left unmanned for extended periods not only becomes a security risk but can also diminish the community feel that Jubilee Court prides itself on maintaining.
It is imperative we safeguard the well-being, comfort, and security of Jubilee Court residents. Disrupting the trusted and reassuring system of on-site care can have lasting negative impacts on their lives. We urge the relevant authorities to reconsider this proposal and continue to provide 24-hour on-site care service for the sake of our loved ones.
Join us in supporting the residents of Jubilee Court by signing this petition to ensure their continued access to 24-hour on-site care. Your signature can make a significant difference in maintaining the quality and reliability of care for those who need it most.
