This dog was abandoned and left to starve to death when her owners, who were allegedly squatting on the property, moved.  She was rescued by a neighbor who confirmed that Animal Control stated that if the dog was taken by them, she would be put down because of her condition.  So, that was an obvious choice for the neighbor . . . she is now recovering and gaining weight! 

Once again, a big MAHALO to our community members for stepping up, going above and beyond – basically doing the many things that Animal Control should be taking the lead on.  Or, at least setting an example.

We need an Animal Control agency that works WITH the public, FOR the animals, and is proactive in doing SOMETHING!  Let’s continue fighting for it!
