It seems the waterfront matters!
Keep in mind, the message of the open letter (see link) is not just for the City to do the necessary shoreline work - it now seems they have embraced that need and multi-year shoreline remediation looks likely. Rather, we want the City to be proactive about preserving and developing the ENTIRE Brights Grove waterfront, from Rainbow Cove/Telfer Rd. to Perch/Cow Creek.
That means we must have a plan to have a crossing over the Cull Drain (ideally, returning a restored original Cull Drain Bridge) AND that restores access to the adjacent right-of-way, east to Mike Weir Park.
Anything short of that means a loss of a continuous trail and unobstructed public access to and possession of the ENTIRE Brights Grove waterfront.
Please continue to share this petition and spread this message.
The waterfront is ours.
