There is only one vet in the Sarnia - Lambton region who will most of the time see our fur babies after hours, and that being said I'm sure he is overwhelmed, exhausted and missing out on precious family time. Dr. Barot from Discovery Animal Hospital in Petrolia simply cannot see every animal in need of help after hours, but does his best to accommodate when possible. This petition is a call out to all vets in the area to develop some sort of rotation schedule from 6pm on a Friday to 9am on a Monday to come together and see our fur babies. Most emergencies happen on the weekend or on holidays. Every minute is critical when it comes to an emergency, and having to drive an hour away to an emergency vet in London or Windsor while our fur baby is crying out in pain in the back seat of our car shouldn't be the only option.

Please sign this in hopes that we can get after hour emergency care back for our pets. These vets could just work weekends, leaving the other vets to do Monday to Friday so they don't burn out.
