Protect Saratoga Springs Residential Neighborhoods: Enforce our Zoning Codes!
The Issue
Downton Walk is a seven-unit condominium development proposal for 27 Jumel Place, in a quaint, established Saratoga Springs, NY, neighborhood. City zoning laws do not allow such a project in that district. The developer is also asking for several radical variances, some of which include a 600% density exception on a single lot and up to 90% variances on setbacks. We the undersigned object to the proposed plan and expect our elected and appointed officials to understand that our Comprehensive Plan is an overarching statement of intent, with our Zoning Codes for each specific district being the laws that we follow.
