Manny is a gentle, loving four year old American staffordshire terrier. Originally, He was in obedience training but was dismissed because the trainers felt as though the course could do nothing more as his temperament was already calm and obedient. Now, he is set to be euthanized for an incident that was not his fault. He was sterotyped due to is breed and it his unfair. 

Manny was on a leash that was less than five feet and in his own yard. A random young boy walked into our yard while my dad went inside for a moment.The young boy grabbed Manny’s toy and Manny mistook this as play.  Manny then jumppped up in excitement and accidentally knocked over the young boy. The boy had a small cut on his hand from Manny’s claw. The parents of the child called to have Manny deemed a dangerous. Manny has only ten days before a decision is made to euthanize him. This was not Manny’s fault and does not deserve to be put down because the child’s parents were not watching him. He is a pitbull and therefore seen as aggressive and dangerous just because of his breed. 

Manny was used as a bait dog for the first few years of his life. This caused stress, anxiety, and a fear of humans especially when they startle him. Manny was rescued and kept in the shelter for almost two years after being saved. My family decided to adopt him after hearing his heartfelt journey. My parents were willing to work with him and give him the second chances he deserved. We had him for only a month before this incident occurred. 

This dog is worth every ounce of energy I have put into saving him from being euthanized. I have even found a family who lives in the country that has a lot of land where he will be able to run and flourish. I just need you're help. I ask that you sign and share Manny’s story so, that he can be taken off the euthanize list and live his best life with the new family I have found.
