Sarasota County has created an exception that would allow recreational hunting in our County Parks, Preserves, and Reserves. Virtually all the Preserves and Reserves prohibit "consumptive uses" -- a term state and federal wildlife agencies have determined refers to hunting. The County needs to honor this prohibition, which was developed by citizens and given meaning by voters.
