After 16 long years, 227 Duffield on Abolitionist Place has finally been landmarked!

Join us this Friday, February 12th at 7pm EST as we come together in honor of the work Mama Joy began and sustained despite persistent opposition. We are thrilled to celebrate this long fought, community-led victory!

Now we begin the vital work of establishing 227 Abolitionist Place as the Heritage Center Mama Joy believed people of all backgrounds deserve. What we build here will serve as a testament of Black liberation, history and culture for us and future generations. We will also share ways you can stay involved and support this work.
