Today at 5PM we are holding a press conference outside of 227 Duffield Street/Abolitionist Place.

NY1 News and the Brooklyn Daily Eagle will document as we, concerned residents of Brooklyn and members of public office, fight for the landmark status of 227 Duffield Street/Abolitionist Place, where abolitionists Harriet and Thomas Truesdell lived during the Fugitive Slave Act and hosted William Llyod Garrison, down the road from where Underground Railroad Conductor William Harned lived.

Will you join us in supporting the preservation of African American history in NYC?
