Santa Clara restaurants, ENOUGH is ENOUGH. What planned on being a "couple of weeks shut down to flatten the curve",  has now surpassed 6 months! Our small businesses are bleeding and many have closed for good, and what's left over are restaurants fighting for survival. During the first week of September, Santa Clara County got moved into the "red color" which indicates (per state guidelines) indoor dining should be approved up to 25% occupancy. Just as we celebrated, Sara Cody decided to place a stricter protocol and refused to allow restaurants in Santa Clara County to open indoor dining. We have been hit with wild fires raging around us and making it nearly impossible to operate outdoors with the heat and terrible air quality. The time has come to say ENOUGH is ENOUGH. With surrounding counties allowing indoor dining, it doesn't make sense that our county cannot re-open in the same way. People commute on a daily basis and the ability for small businesses to re-open indoor dining should be equal because the fact is, people from all over the Bay Area are living in one area and then dining, shopping and working in other areas, making the "by each individual county" rule absolutely ridiculous.  People are allowed on full flights to entertainment meccas like Las Vegas where they can go to pool parties and eat indoors. You are even allowed to remove your mask, while smoking and drinking! The lack of common sense is frightening and its time to put a stop to this! Let restaurants open for indoor dining and give our businesses a chance to survive these unprecedented times.
