Two abused/ neglected dogs in Appomattox, Virginia. Daisy, is a lab/pit bull mix and Girl is a full lab. They have been living at the same address for 4 years. According to the neighbors these dogs have been chained like that for 4 years. No contact with humans and/or other animals. They are kept on the chain 24/7, during hot summer day and cold freezing winters. One good neighbor has taken care of them while the owner was away. He recently returned and restricted Mr. Terry from seeing these dogs. These dogs are neglected, they live in the poorly insulated " sheds". Sometimes they have straw and sometimes they lay down on the wooden blocks. In February AWAG/ friends for animals provided 2 igloos for the dogs. Unfortunately nobody taught the dogs how to use them. These two girls still go inside these poorly insulated "sheds" because that is the only shelter they are familiar with. On Valentine's Day night temperatures reached below 0 in Appomattox VA and these girls had paced all night long to stay alive. This is a horrible situation. These dogs cannot speak for themselves and somebody needs to be their voice.  Please sign the petition.  The laws need to change!  Currently is legal to keep your dog chained outside in all kinds of weather.
