It is disheartening to see millions of elves ruthlessly worked to death each year just because Santa wants some toys. Thousands are stuffed into a small warehouse at a single time, despite the CDC’s recommendation of a maximum of 14 at a time to limit the spread of the dreaded COVID-19 virus. “We have no space to breathe. My whole elf family has gotten covid and died. Still, Santa sits in the corner petting Rudolph, whipping us if we stop making toys,” says Troy, a 17 year old Christmas elf. “I haven’t eaten or slept in weeks. I don’t know how much longer I can last,” he says.
