Making this petition for us, the people from Santa Cruz California. During these times with COVID-19 lockdowns still all over the world, we still believe that we are not ready to open up the Santa Cruz boardwalk for more tourists to show up. COVID-19 has yet NOT been absolutely wiped out yet, thousands of cases still report from Florida. We truly believe that the lockdown should continue until we are fully prepared and the virus is no longer a danger. Yes there are stores and places that are opened up but because they ARE ESSENTIAL and/or because only a couple amount of people can go in the actual store. The Santa Cruz beach boardwalk is such a popular well known amusement park. We all know how packed the boardwalk gets during summer. WE ARE STILL NOT READY TO OPEN UP. We are not clear either the COVID-19, we all know that. Why are you guys opening up soon? It definitely shows that economy is more important than the people’s health, it clearly shows. Please understand that WE THE PEOPLE FROM SANTA CRUZ have families, WE have parents, WE have kids, little nephews and cousins, WE have grandparents who we do not want to expose just because there are people here from a whole other town and people from OUR town HAVE TO EXPOSE THEMSELVES AND WORK w no option. That’s not fair for us locals. We ask that you please take this as a serious matter and not only focus on the economy of your workplace. A lot of other stores are suffering as well but they are doing what is required because THEY CARE FOR HUMANITY more than some other places do. Please listen to our voices and feel our panic when we hear that you guys are already going to open up soon.
